Week 38
Black Dog -Led Zeppelin
The Joke is on you! The dog is actually yellow! I found a furry friend. We pass by him a lot but he finally decided to be my friend! |
Another one cause I am bad at taking pictures these days |
I will start with this week's miracle. We often pass through this area with a little yellow dog that just avoids us while acting slightly interested in saying hi. The other day while sitting on someones stoop he finally decided to be my friend! What a miracle!
On a more serious note it has been a really good week for us! We Baptized Sister Alice who was a referral from Sister Moureen. She has been back and forth between here and Gulu, but has been faithfully attending church in both places. Her Husband should soon be Baptized in Gulu, but she was very eager to have it done here in Masaka with Sister Moureen around. We love our Member Missionaries!

Other than that it's been pretty normal... Today a bunch of us missionaries went to lunch and as we were finishing we watched the beginning of a World Cup Match between South Korea and Sweden. Obviously we were talking about the game and what we saw. There was a Korean (I think) guy there who said he hated missionaries and that listening to us talk about the game was making him lose brain cells. He then proceeded to ask us what he would need to do to get us to leave. He said he'd do the rosary, and asked if he needed to attend mass too. We then explained that we don't do the rosary or mass, but kindly left as it was time to head here to the internet cafe anyway. I just feel bad for him that he doesn't have the joy and peace that we have the opportunity to spread. I'm just lucky that the few incidents like this that I do have only motivate me to work harder and bring the truth to those who are searching for it. The Gospel is so good, and nothing can stop this work from progressing.
Thank You for your love and Support. Have a most splendid week!
Love,
Elder Winn
